A 12-Volt battery may not seem dangerous, but it can drive thousands of amps into a short circuit - enough to melt metal, damage the battery, and possibly cause bodily injury. These tough, flexible, color-coded, UV-Resistant PVC Terminal Protectors help guard against accidental short circuits such as dropping an aluminum paddle across the battery(!) The kit contains two 2-1/2 inch diameter protectors, one black and one red. Installation is easy using the included color-coded nylon zip ties. Battery clips slide under the protectors to connect to the terminals, and the clip jaws are insulated from shorts when installed under the protectors as shown.
