Complete battery rail kit. Each rail is 5 ft long with 24 beveled holes for tying down batteries and gear in rough conditions. Contains two white oak rails, all stainless mounting hardware, watertight seals, and full instructions.
Bucking waves and whitewater is one of the challenges of electric boating. You do it sometimes for the thrill, and sometimes because you must to get home. To keep the batteries from shifting in heavy waves, eCanoe has designed these premium-grade Appalachian White Oak Battery Rails. Dip-coated in Thompson's Water Seal® after manufacture for long life. May be painted or left natural. Each rail is five feet (60 in or 152cm) long, 1.0" (2.5cm) wide, and 1.25" (3.2 cm) high with twenty-four 3/8" (0.95cm) beveled holes spaced 2.5" (6.4cm) apart for attaching ropes and bungie hooks. The included hardware fits through five 5/16" (8mm) mounting holes spaced 1-ft (30cm) apart in each rail. The rail ends are gracefully tapered to prevent toe stubs. These rails are very strong and add extra stiffness to the hull of a canoe or small boat. This Battery Rail Kit contains TWO BR-60 rails complete with specialized 18-8 stainless hardware for mounting to the bottom of the hull. Ten 1" (2.5cm) diameter by 2"(5cm) long flathead bolts, washers, nuts, cap-nuts and neoprene seals fasten the rails to hulls up to 1/2" (1.25cm) thick. No messy putty, glue, or silicone sealant is needed for a watertight installation. The thin flat-head fasteners are almost flush with the bottom of the boat, reducing drag to a minimum. A handsome and very useful addition to canoes from 16 to 20 ft in length. Complete instructions are included, because if you are going to drill ten 1/4-inch holes in the bottom of your boat, you want to do it right! Made in USA.
